An Honest Way to Buy a Diamond
IDC Cayman was founded in 2011on a single conviction: that buying a diamond should feel as honest as it is exciting. From a boutique in the heart of George Town, Grand Cayman, we set out to offer the world’s finest certified diamonds without the markups, the pressure or the mystery that so often surround them.
More than a decade later, that conviction is unchanged. Every significant diamond we sell is independently graded by the Gemological Institute of America, the world’s most respected authority, so you always know exactly what you are buying. We work only in enduring metals, 14k and 18k gold, crafted to be worn for generations.
Because the Cayman Islands charge no sales tax and no VAT, our jewelry is entirely tax-free. For most American and Canadian visitors that means paying about 10% to 25% less than the same piece would cost after tax at home, and even more against 20% UK VAT or European rates. We pass that advantage on directly, with transparent pricing and no commission-driven selling.

Our consultants are never paid on commission, so their only job is to help you find the right piece. We explain the 4Cs with diamonds in hand, show you where your budget is best spent, and give you the time and quiet to decide. We would rather you left with the right diamond than the most expensive one, that is what honest fine jewelry should feel like.
