Each stone is chosen by eye for colour first, because with gems the colour is most of the value.

Then there are the stones this region gives you. Caymanite, the banded stone found only in the Cayman Islands, is cut and set in our own workshop. Larimar and ammolite bring blues and iridescent colour you simply will not find in a mall jeweller at home. These make honest souvenirs, a real stone from this part of the world rather than something generic.

Duty-free pricing applies to gemstones the same as everything else, and on fine sapphires and tanzanite the saving is substantial. If you are buying an important stone, ask us to show it under different lights, since daylight changes coloured stones more than people expect. Our bench can set a loose stone you choose into a ring or pendant, often while you are still on island.
