Ammolite

Ammolite Jewelry in Grand Cayman

Iridescent ammolite, a rare organic gem that carries the colour of the sea and shore.

A Rare Organic Gem

Iridescence You Cannot Manufacture

Iridescent ammolite and warm Caribbean coral are the rare organic gems we set, stones that carry the colour of the sea and shore rather than the colour of a mineral. Ammolite flashes green, red and gold as it moves, and no two pieces repeat.

Like opal and coral, ammolite is a softer organic material, so it belongs in pendants and earrings, or in rings set protectively and worn with some care. We set it in 14-carat and 18-carat gold, often with a diamond surround to frame the iridescence.

It is bought on the strength and spread of the colour flash, which means it has to be seen moving in the hand rather than chosen from a photograph.
